Putting for a Purpose: Nonprofit’s Mini Golf Event to Raise Funds to Provide Crucial Items for Foster Youth

Emmaus, Pennsylvania – Monday July 14, 2025 The Kindness Project, a dedicated advocate for foster families across Eastern Pennsylvania, is excited to announce its 8th Annual Mini Golf Tournament, a fundraising event set to take place on Friday, September 26th from 11AM to 2PM at Putt U, 5201 Route 309, Center Valley. This fun-filled day provides 18 holes of competitive mini golf with friends, co-workers and new acquaintances. With a catered lunch, live music, foster family stories, a wide variety of raffle baskets and silent auction items, the day is sure to be memorable and leave golfers feeling good, having supported a worthy cause for a much-needed community group.

Funds raised at the tournament will provide essential items and support for children and teens in foster care, ensuring they receive the resources they need to thrive. These items include but aren’t limited to crucial needs like clothing, school supplies, bedding, personal care products, and more. With a mission focused on delivering free support and essential items to foster families, The Kindness Project has been a cornerstone in the community, helping to ease the challenges faced by these families. The mini golf event is designed not only to raise funds but also to raise awareness about the needs of foster children and the impactful work of the organization.

“This tournament is more than just a fun day of mini golf — it’s a powerful reminder that when a community comes together, real change is possible. Every putt, every sponsor, every donation helps us provide the support, stability, and hope that kids in foster care deserve. We’re so grateful to everyone who’s joined us over the past seven years to make this impact possible” said Founder and Executive Director Jenae Holtzhafer.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available and are the ONLY way for people to golf in the tournament. Go to the event webpage: https://mykindnessproject.org/minigolf/ for more information and to register. Sponsorships range from $5000 to $500.

We are also accepting prize donations for the event! Silent auction prizes should be valued at a minimum of $150. These can include tickets to sporting events or other unique experiences, weekend vacation getaways, tempting ‘booze baskets,’ or a variety of restaurant gift cards in combination with other unique items for a total value of $150 or more. Raffle prizes should have a minimum value of $25. So that we can launch an Online Silent Auction prior to and during the event, all items must be delivered to 4752 Mill Road, Emmaus NO LATER THAN Sunday, 9/1/25. Find the prize donation form on the event webpage as well: https://mykindnessproject.org/minigolf/

The TKP Mini-Golf Tournament is one of our most important annual fundraisers to support operational expenses such as mortgage, utilities, insurance, staff, and all the necessary costs that are required to allow us to keep the doors open to serve our foster care community. We thank you for supporting us through this critical event!

About us: The Kindness Project – the Lehigh Valley’s premier donation-based, volunteer-driven 501(c)3 nonprofit – provides foster and adoptive families with essential items and support that make a difference in the life of a foster child. Items distributed at no cost include infant equipment (car seats, strollers, cribs, high chairs), diapers, infant formula, beds and bedding, clothing, shoes, hygiene items and much more. Thanks to this assistance, resource families are able to focus on the immediate physical and emotional needs of the children placed in their care.
