East Stroudsburg, Pa. (September 1, 2025) – Youth Infusion, Inc. is pleased to announce it has received a $10,000 grant from the PPL Foundation. These funds will support the Trips for Kids – Pocono Flow Discovery Trail Rides, a mountain biking program that introduces young people and families in Northeast Pennsylvania to the outdoors while teaching environmental awareness, sustainability, and healthy living.
The Discovery Trail Rides provide opportunities for youth, many of whom are experiencing barriers to outdoor recreation—to explore local parks and trails, learn from park rangers about protecting natural habitats, and understand the importance of preserving community green spaces. Through hands-on experiences, participants develop not only biking and leadership skills but also a deeper appreciation for environmental stewardship and sustainable practices such as trail conservation and “leave no trace” principles.
Since its inception in 2010, this has been Youth Infusion’s most active program, engaging hundreds of students and families who often share that without these rides they would never have discovered the natural spaces in their own backyards.
