Emmaus, PA – The Emmaus Main Street Partners, proud partners of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, are excited to welcome the community back to the beloved Farewell to Summer Festival on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This annual tradition fills Emmaus Triangle Park and the surrounding borough with laughter, music, food, and the kind of small-town charm that makes Emmaus so special.
In the Triangle, families can climb aboard fire trucks and police vehicles at the popular Touch a Truck, shop from more than 50 local craft vendors, and enjoy delicious local food and kid-friendly and adult beverages. Beyond the park, the fun continues with a free tie-dye station hosted by Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Valley Partners, the always-beloved Heritage Festival at the Emmaus Historical Society, and Yerg-Fest at Yergey Brewing. Thanks to both Jeff McElhaney of Edward Jones and Wehrung’s Lumber and home center, the Emmaus Theatre will offer a free showing of the Lego Batman Movie at 2:00PM to celebrate National Batman Day!
In addition to exploring all the vendors and activities along main street, we encourage festival goers to visit the local businesses that call Emmaus home by participating in the Scarecrow Trail! Explore over 20 local businesses who have decorated for fall, all including a scarecrow amongst the decor. At each stop guests will collect 1 of 11 puzzle pieces to build a scarecrow of their own! Those who complete their scarecrow will be entered into a raffle to win $50 in local gift cards.
The Farewell to Summer Festival is more than an event, it’s a celebration of community. Year after year, it brings neighbors together, shines a spotlight on local businesses, and creates lasting memories in the heart of downtown. Organizers note that the event continues to grow each year, with even more surprises still to come.
“We are so excited to welcome everyone back to the Triangle for this year’s Farewell to Summer Festival,” said Hayden Rinde, Manager of the Emmaus Main Street Partners. “This event is all about celebrating our community, supporting local businesses, and creating memories with family and friends. It’s a day that truly captures the spirit of Emmaus, and if you keep your eyes open, you might even notice the start of something new we’ve been working on behind the scenes.”
Local businesses share in the excitement as well. Chloe Krempasky, Marketing & Communications Technology Assistant at Burkholder’s Heating & Air Conditioning, shared, “We’re thrilled to sponsor such a fantastic event. Being part of the Emmaus community for many years, it’s always special to see neighbors and businesses come together. We’re proud to support the Emmaus Main Street Partners efforts in strengthening community connections and enriching the local experience here in Emmaus.”
