St. Luke’s Named #1 Health Care Employer in Pennsylvania – Again!
Cue the confetti! For the third year in a row, St. Luke’s University Health Network has been recognized as the #1 health care employer in Pennsylvania by Forbes Magazine! And that’s not all – we’re also a Top 10 employer statewide, rubbing elbows with some of the biggest names in business.
In its annual ranking, Forbes asked the big question:
“Which organizations are truly keeping their employees happy?”
Their answer? St. Luke’s – loud and clear.
With more than 23,000 team members, St. Luke’s is the largest employer in the Lehigh Valley, and we’re proud to be ranked #4 overall in Pennsylvania. Check out the company we’re keeping:

Not bad company, right?
The rankings were based on a massive survey of 160,000 employees across the U.S., conducted by Forbes and Statista. Participants rated their employers on everything from satisfaction to reputation – and St. Luke’s shined.
“Being recognized as the top-ranked health care employer in Pennsylvania is truly an honor,” said Evan Ochs, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “We put our people first. We listen, we respond, and we celebrate the incredible work they do every day.”
And the awards keep rolling in! Earlier this year, St. Luke’s was also named one of Forbes’ Best Large Employers nationwide, recognized as one of America’s Dream Employers and Best Employers for New Grads. Plus, in a separate survey with USA Today, The Morning Call and others, we were honored among the Top Workplaces – not just in Pennsylvania, but also in New Jersey – for the third year running.
