The Kindness Project and IronPigs Team Up for a Behind-the-Scenes Experience
Emmaus, Pennsylvania – Friday October 31, 2025
Allentown, PA — Get ready to swing for the fences! On Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10 AM to 1 PM, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs are teaming up with The Kindness Project to host Batting at the Ballpark: Family Fun Day!
This free event is specially designed for families connected to The Kindness Project and promises an unforgettable morning of fun, food, and community. Families will have the unique opportunity to tour Coca-Cola Park, step into the batting cages, and experience what it’s like to play where the pros do.
Children ages 5 and up are invited to participate, and will enjoy a classic ballpark hot dog lunch as part of the event. Attendees will also have a chance to explore behind-the-scenes areas of the stadium to make lasting memories together.
“This day is all about connection, joy, and creating positive core memories which are critical for kids coming from trauma,” said Jenae Holtzhafer, Founder and Executive Director The Kindness Project. “We’re so grateful to the IronPigs for opening their doors once again and helping us create a fun and welcoming experience for our families.”
About us: The Kindness Project – the Lehigh Valley’s premier donation-based, volunteer-driven 501(c)3 nonprofit – provides foster and adoptive families with essential items and support that make a difference in the life of a foster child. Items distributed at no cost include infant equipment (car seats, strollers, cribs, high chairs), diapers, infant formula, beds and bedding, clothing, shoes, hygiene items and much more. Thanks to this assistance, resource families are able to focus on the immediate physical and emotional needs of the children placed in their care.
