Macungie, PA — Saturday, February 7, 2026 — Lehigh Valley Martial Arts (LVMA) will host a 1st Degree Black Belt Testing event on Saturday, February 7, 2026, bringing together 46 eligible candidates who have met the rigorous requirements to test for one of martial arts’ most respected achievements.

The test will begin at 10:00 a.m. and is expected to last approximately five hours. The event will be held in the gymnasium at Lower Macungie Middle School, located at 6299 Lower Macungie Road, Macungie, PA 18062.

Candidates range in age from 8 years old through adulthood, reflecting LVMA’s commitment to developing discipline, confidence, leadership, and resilience across all age groups. Achieving a 1st Degree Black Belt represents years of consistent training, personal growth, and mastery of both physical and mental skills.

“This test is far more than a demonstration of martial arts techniques,” said a representative from Lehigh Valley Martial Arts. “It is a reflection of perseverance, character development, and the ability to perform under pressure. Each candidate has earned the opportunity to be on this floor.”

Throughout the testing, candidates will be evaluated on a wide range of skills, including forms, self-defense, physical conditioning, and mental focus. The event serves as a milestone not only for the students, but also for their families, instructors, and the broader Lehigh Valley community who have supported them throughout their journey.
