North Catasauqua, PA – William J. Albert Park, or as locals know it as, North Catasauqua Park, at 701 Grove Street in North Catasauqua is a quaint little town park that has the feel of a larger town park! It was developed and began to take form in June 1947. This park has so many amenities to support the community such as: a war memorial to honor those who have served our country, generous open field space for children to play in, baseball diamonds, a large pavilion, snack stand that is operated in the spring/summer months in the evenings, two playground spaces for all ages, and our volleyball and basketball courts (which host leagues all summer.)
North Catasauqua Park is well known for the wooden train playset that is in the younger playground lot and used very heavily. The original train set was over 30 years old when the parks and recreation committee replaced it with a new one back in 2012. Since that time, this beloved equipment has seen much use and is now in need of replacement again. The committee is looking to replace it with yet another train as that is what the children love and is looking for community support to raise the funds needed to do so. Please consider helping our local park to replace this icon and have it for decades to come. All donations can be sent to the North Catasauqua Borough, ℅ Parks and Recreation, at 1066 4th Street, North Catasauqua, PA 18032.
