Jim Thorpe, PA — Cellar Beast Winehouse will open a new tasting room this May in the heart of Jim Thorpe. Located inside The Y Hotel at 69 Broadway, the new space will bring Cellar Beast wines and hospitality to one of Pennsylvania’s most visited historic mountain towns.
The tasting room will offer guests a relaxed place to experience Cellar Beast wines, whether stopping in for a glass, sharing a bottle, or exploring the winery’s selection of wines. In addition to wine, the Jim Thorpe location will also offer a small selection of beer and cocktails, giving visitors a variety of options while enjoying the space. The location will also feature an outdoor patio area, providing guests with an additional place to relax and enjoy a drink while taking in the atmosphere of downtown Jim Thorpe.
Founded in Andreas, Pennsylvania, Cellar Beast has developed a following for its thoughtful approach to winemaking and hospitality. While the winery is based in Pennsylvania, Cellar Beast sources its grapes from respected vineyards on the West Coast, allowing the team to work with high-quality fruit while crafting the wines in Pennsylvania.
Each vintage is crafted through countless hours of work by Director of Winemaking and Co-Founder Matt Check alongside the Cellar Beast team, who guide the wines from fermentation through bottling. The winery’s approach is influenced by traditional French winemaking philosophy, focusing on balance, structure, and allowing the character of the fruit to show through in the finished wine.
“Our goal is always to make expressive wines that people genuinely enjoy drinking,” said Matt Check, Director of Winemaking and Co-Founder of Cellar Beast. “But the best part of winemaking is sharing that wine and the passion that went into making it. That connection with people is really what it’s all about.”
The Jim Thorpe tasting room will be located along Broadway, the town’s main street known for its historic architecture, shops, restaurants, and year-round tourism, inside The Y Hotel at 69 Broadway. Cellar Beast wines are a natural complement to the hotel’s elevated guest experience, pairing high-quality wines with the world-class amenities and hospitality the Y on Broadway is known for.
“Jim Thorpe has such a strong sense of place and community,” said Kim McCullough, Owner of Cellar Beast Winehouse. “We’re excited to create a welcoming space where people can step in, discover our wines, and enjoy a moment while exploring the town.”
Cellar Beast plans to begin welcoming guests in May, with an official Grand Opening celebration on Sunday, May 17.
More details about opening events and the new tasting room experience will be announced in the coming weeks.
