PARKOUR! PARKOUR!

Use your Gifts and Abilities to Impact Youth at Camp 1315. Our Campers will be part of designing and building a Parkour Gym in our 2000 square foot Recreation Studio. The Campers will also participate in choosing a “career” and learning through FUN and rewarding activities to figure out a budget and be able to “purchase” real items with their fictitious “salary”. Their entire day will have purpose, but the kids will want to be there because of the atmosphere we create. We are looking for DYNAMIC individuals and groups, but we are also looking for volunteers who have the gift of simply listening to a child. Our Camps are starting on June 15th! We encourage you to check out our website: https://www.camp1315.com to see if you want to be part of the most innovative program to teach youth how to think outside the box; to create and to learn in the most natural and fun way. Reach out and tell us what you are excited to bring to the next generation!

Be the Support a Family Needs

The Salvation Army Foster Care & Adoption Services is looking for you to join their dedicated volunteer team! In order for families and children who are at-risk to stabilize and stay together, they need access to an extended support network and local resources. That’s where the Primary Care Community, or PCC, comes in. A PCC is a group of about five volunteer families who come alongside one specific family to help meet physical, financial, spiritual, and emotional needs. When volunteers serve in a PCC, they’re like a kind neighbor, part of a much-needed support system for a family in crisis. We ask that all volunteers commit to serving from 6 months up to 24 months. It isn’t unusual during this time to build a relationship with the family. In fact, it’s encouraged! That’s one of the things volunteers love the most about serving in a Primary Care Community! By becoming a Care Community Volunteer, you can make a significant difference in the life of a family!

Are You a Social Butterfly?

The Center for Animal Health & Welfare is seeking a volunteer to engage with the public at offsite events. Volunteers will inform guests about our organization, so they gain more knowledge and interest. We usually participate in a few of these events each month where we will set up a table with flyers and handouts. This opportunity is perfect for anyone who is good at public speaking and interacting with others. We also sometimes bring dogs to these events so you will be able to hang out with some of our dogs and help introduce them to the public to try to get them adopted!

Sights for Hope is Seeking Vision Screeners (Infants to Kindergarten)

Volunteers will help provide vision screenings for children in Lehigh, Northampton, and Monroe counties. Vision screenings are conducted at nursery schools, day care centers and kindergarten registrations for children ages 6 months to 6 years old. Volunteers will be trained to use the SPOT vision screening equipment, a hand-held camera-like device which takes a picture of a child’s eyes to determine if a vision problem exists. Did you know that 80% of what a child learns comes through vision? That is why it is so important to catch eye problems as early as possible. Volunteers must have their own transportation to screening sites. Volunteers must have patience, like to work with children, and have current FBI and PA Child Abuse Clearances.

We Need Your Help in the Gift Shop!

Phoebe Allentown Nursing Home is looking for a gift shop volunteer. Our gift shop plays a special role in our community — it’s a place where residents, staff, and families can enjoy drinks, snacks, and fun merchandise, all while supporting programs that bring joy and comfort throughout our campus. We rely on volunteers to keep the gift shop open, and we would love to welcome new friendly faces to our team! Every hour you volunteer helps support: Loving care for our community pets, meaningful intergenerational programs, and beautiful plants and flowers that brighten our building. If you enjoy meeting people, helping others, and being part of something meaningful, this is a wonderful opportunity.
