Event supports KidsPeace Foster Care in Reading, PA

READING, PA (June 17, 2021) — KidsPeace Foster Care in Reading, PA announced that its “Jingle in July” 5K Run/One Mile Walk fundraising event will return Saturday, July 24, 2021 as an IN-PERSON event – and registration is open now!

The event will again be held at Gring’s Mill recreation area in Wyomissing, PA, with the 5K starting at 8:30 a.m. on 7/24 and the One Mile Walk following immediately.

Early registration for the Jingle in July events is open at www.kidspeace5k.org. The entrance fee is $20 through July 10, and early registrants are guaranteed an event T-shirt.  The fee goes up to $25 for registrations after 7/10, with T-shirts available only while supplies last.

The holiday-themed event is the Reading office’s primary fundraising event, with all donations going towards events, activities and recognition in support of the foster parents served by the office and the kids in their care. This is the 10th Jingle in July event, as the 2020 version of the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to the 5K fun run and One Mile Walk, the event features raffles and a toy drive. Donations can be dropped off at the event or at Diamond Federal Credit Union branches through the month of July.
