Starting this week, the third and fourth floors of City Hall will go dark on Tuesdays and Thursdays and be closed to the visiting public. Phone calls received during this time will still be answered.

The third-floor handles rental and pre-sale inspections and the fourth-floor processes permits and reviews plans. These floors will open again for service five days a week starting May 16.

Over this four-week span, City employees will be trained on new software to modernize and improve customer service. This new online portal will help streamline the process for permits, inspections, and applications – none of which can be currently done online. This new system will also allow for real time tracking.

Those who visit City Hall during the dark hours can drop off documents like permit, zoning and presale applications along with associated fee’s (checks only) in designated drop-off boxes located at the first-floor lobby desk. Plans, which must be reviewed by City staff, cannot be dropped off.

Questions for the third floor can directed to 610-437-7694. The fourth floor can be reached at 610-437-7591.
