May 15 Pet Adoption Festival To Feature Shelters, Entertainment, Micro-Chipping And Food Trucks

Allentown, PA — Howard Hanna The Frederick Group, the Lehigh Valley’s leading real estate firm when it comes to finding homes for humans, is joining forces with local pet shelters and adoption agencies this May to help find homes for pets.

“Howard Hanna’s Homes For Hounds” will be held May 15 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Howard Hanna The Frederick Group offices at 3500 Winchester Road, Allentown. Among the featured agencies and shelters are The Sanctuary At Haffsville, Peaceable Kingdom, SOAR, Paws 2 Freedom, Logans Heroes, Linda Ann’s Greyhound and No Nonsense Neutering

Micro-chipping for pets will be available for $20 per pet and the festival will feature a number of fun activities for pet lovers of all ages, including caricatures, face-painting, bean bag toss and on-site food trucks from Take A Taco, Slide On By, Bananarama and Kona Ice.

Entertainment will be provided by Gail Mirabella and the Dynamo Dogs and the K9 Cop Project will do exhibitions throughout the afternoon.

Other exhibitors will include Bully Bows, Hanna Finance, Handcrafted Highland, Sleepy Cat Urban Winery, Beyond Imagination Alpacas, Scentsy, Homemade Bully Soaps, Willow Street Pictures, Juice Plus and ACRE Windows and Doors.

“We held our first Howard Hanna Homes For Hounds before the pandemic occurred so we had to wait a few years to return with this popular event,” said broker Doug Frederick. “Our staff and agents have worked hard to prepare a fun day that will be entertaining for everyone who attends. But more important, our goal is to help find forever homes for our four-legged friends.”

There’s no better way to turn a house into a more loving home than to add a pet or two, said Event Coordinator Elena Gregoire.

“Our participants are excited to attend and we look forward to a really great afternoon to help local shelters as well as anyone who is interested in adopting a pet,” Gregoire said. “Bring your pets for photos and micro-chipping!”

Festival visitors may be able to adopt cats and kittens at the event, however, any puppy or dog adoptions will be processed through the participating organization in coordinating with the adopting individuals or families. Any cat adopted must go home in a cat carrier
