Whitehall, PA | January 19th, 2023 – Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley is abuzz with excitement as their ReStore’s double-digit birthday approaches this week. On Thursday, January 19th, 2023 at 12 noon, the ReStore will officially kick off its ten-year anniversary celebration with raffles, prizes, cake, and more for customers!

Located at 1053 Grape Street, Whitehall, PA, the Habitat Lehigh Valley ReStore has contributed to successfully building 131 safe and reliable homes in the Lehigh Valley for low to moderate income, hardworking families since Habitat Lehigh Valley’s opening in 1989. Since the ReStore’s inception in 2013, it has accepted over 60,000 donations from organizations and individuals…all of whom have made a difference in the lives of the families in Habitat Lehigh Valley’s homeownership and home repair programs.

Did you know that the ReStore has diverted over 12 million pounds of reusable goods from local landfills over the past 10 years? The ReStore doesn’t just contribute critical funding from purchase revenue to build homes; it also recycles, reuses, and resells gently used and new items at a fraction of the regular retail cost, including having recycled over 25,000 gallons of latex paint since opening.

Join the Habitat Lehigh Valley ReStore as it celebrates the hard work of its volunteers, the generosity of its donors, and the incredible 10-year impact it has made in the lives of those seeking affordable, equitable, and safe housing.
