EASTON, Pa. (May 7, 2024) – Three teachers from the Lehigh Valley celebrated Teacher Appreciation Day with a once-in-a-lifetime shopping spree through the world’s largest selection of Crayola products and unique souvenirs.

  • Kimberly Knipe, Roosevelt Elementary School
  • Shannon Stokes, Salisbury Elementary School
  • Paula Lapp, Ramos Elementary School

The K-12 teachers were randomly selected from more than 2,000 raffle entries to participate in the World’s Most Colorful Shopping Spree—Teacher Edition, and their schools received a prize pack valued at $5,000 from Crayola Experience.

Knipe, Stokes, and Lapp had 64 seconds—a nod to Crayola’s iconic box of 64 crayons—to dash around The Crayola Store and grab as much Crayola product as they could. The Crayola Tip character, along with school mascots, colleagues, students, and family cheered on the teachers.

At the end of their spree, the teachers got to keep what they collected to stock their classrooms for next year and all the students in their classrooms received a free Crayola Experience ticket to use this summer.

Crayola Experience also donated a prize pack valued at $5,000 to each winning teacher’s school. The colorful school package includes an assortment of Crayola crayons, markers, colored pencils, and other supplies, plus 200 Crayola Experience tickets that can be used for school fundraising, student recognition awards, etc.

Crayola Experience gathered more than 3,500 entries and selected nine teachers across the four participating locations in Texas, Pennsylvania, Orlando, and Arizona for shopping sprees held this week—donating a total of more than $60,000 of products and tickets to the teachers’ schools.

In appreciation for the work teachers do to educate, motivate, and inspire the next generation all year long, Crayola Experience—the most colorful family destination for interactive, creative play—offers teachers free annual passes to its attractions.
