The production company has employed over 40 interns from local colleges since 2012.

Bethlehem, PA (February 22, 2023) – ASR Media Productions (ASR Media) prides itself on its hands-on internship program. During the spring, summer, and fall seasons/semesters, interns gain experience in the world of television and video production, work under award-winning professionals, and understand what it’s like to leave a mark on your community.

Since ASR Media’s founding in 2012, it has hosted over 40 interns from local colleges, including Kutztown University and DeSales University. Of these 40, nine have entered ASR Media’s team as full-time employees in entry-level editing and production positions. While most of these hires came from local colleges, they have not all originally hailed from the Greater Lehigh Valley region. Some have come from much farther, as natives of New York and even Arkansas.

“The team at ASR Media is proud of how we can provide opportunities to local college students and invest in our community by creating entry-level jobs,” says Katie Santana, vice president of production & operations and head of the internship program. “I know first-hand how hard it can be to get your foot in the door in a heavily skills-based industry, such as television and video production. I am happy to work at ASR Media, where we give meaningful experiences to young, local creatives.”

ASR Media ensures interns and full-time staff members fully immerse themselves in the Lehigh Valley professional community. While gaining exposure by working directly with Lehigh Valley businesses and organizations, it is also common for ASR Media employees to serve on local boards and committees. Additionally, some intern-turned-employees have even been nominated for Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmys®.
