Fraternal Order of Police Le-Hampton Lodge 35 votes unanimously to endorse Dellicker.

HEIDELBERG TOWNSHIP, PA – The Fraternal Order of Police, Le-Hampton Lodge 35 announced their unanimous endorsement of Kevin Dellicker’s campaign for Congress.

“Our unanimous vote to endorse Kevin Dellicker reflects our collective belief in his vision for a safer, more secure community and his ability to represent the interests of law enforcement at the national level,” said Gene Hatcher, President of Le-Hampton Lodge 35. Hatcher went on to praise Dellicker’s values, leadership, and “readiness to be an effective advocate for us in Congress.”

The lodge also considered other candidates before deciding to unanimously support Dellicker. “In the process of our endorsement, we had the opportunity to meet with other candidates. However, Kevin Dellicker emerged as the clear choice for our members. His profound understanding of law enforcement’s challenges, unwavering support for our officers, and commitment to providing the necessary resources and support set him apart.”

Dellicker thanked the organization for what its members do every day for the community. He said he was honored and humbled to earn their endorsement. “Our law enforcement officers work tirelessly to serve and protect our communities, said Dellicker. “They deserve our respect, our gratitude, and our support.” “Safe Communities” is a cornerstone of Dellicker’s campaign.

Le-Hampton Lodge 35 is the fourth local police organization to support Dellicker’s bid for Congress. The lodge represents over 850 members from 41 different law enforcement agencies across Lehigh and Northampton Counties, including township and borough police and county sheriffs and detectives. They are the fourth FOP in the region to announce their support in the congressional race. Dellicker has received the support from all four.

The local FOP organizations that have announced their support of Dellicker are:

  • Fraternal Order of Police Joseph J. Haggerty Memorial Lodge #40, which represents local Pennsylvania State Troopers
  • Fraternal Order of Police Queen City Lodge #10, which represents City of Allentown Police Officers
  • Fraternal Order of Police Star Lodge #20, which represents City of Bethlehem Police Officers
  • Fraternal Order of Police Le-Hampton Lodge #35, which represents township and borough police and county sheriffs and detectives in Lehigh and Northampton Counties

Dellicker has pledged throughout the campaign that, in Congress, he will work to help local first responders get the resources they need to do their jobs and will advocate for improvements in their family support infrastructure. And as someone who has worn a uniform in difficult circumstances, he will defend the profession from unwarranted criticism.

“Our local police officers deserve the benefit of the doubt,” said Dellicker. “They will get that from me.”
