UPDATE: Minimum Height Requirement for Iron Menace set at 48”

Ride now one step closer to official opening

 

ALLENTOWN, PA (April 9, 2024) – The Northeast’s highly anticipated, first-ever dive roller coaster Iron Menace has an official minimum height requirement of 48″.

Simply put, riders must be 4 feet tall to ride, another first for a Bolliger & Mabillard dive roller coaster.

The announcement comes on the heels of a lengthy testing process, in advance of several dynamic opening events. 

The 95-degree, 160-foot drop, four inversion Menace will delight the public on Friday, April 19th during the park’s first Ride for a Cause event benefiting the Eagles Autism Foundation.

The public will then be welcomed back on April 27th & 28th, as well as May 4th and 5th for the park’s Preseason Preview Days. During the event guests will get the chance to experience Iron Menace. Plus, enjoy early access to select rides and coasters.

Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom’s Opening Day is scheduled for May 10, 2024.

BACKGROUND: The Iron Menace, the Northeast’s first-ever dive roller coaster will be the first new coaster built at Dorney in 19 years.

With nearly 2,200 feet of steel track, Iron Menace will feature a unique “hold and dive” element, where riders will find themselves hanging on the edge of their seats, breathlessly awaiting the heart-pounding drop.

Iron Menace will also boast the first-ever tilted loop on a dive coaster.
