God bless you Diane and thank you for all you have given this world from behind the lens of your camera and in the words you put into prose.

Since The Valley Ledger went online, we’ve met many fantastic people in the Lehigh Valley who contribute to making the area great. One of those amazing people has recently passed away.

Diane Fleischman was one of our most active volunteers. She was a contributor of both articles and photography, plus helped to organize things behind the scenes, enabling our contributors to gain access to credentialed events so they could bring stories and photographs to our readers.

She was passionate about photography, music, writing, travel, and her daughter. She would light up when talking about how much she loved every second she spent with her daughter.

Her love of photography knew no limits. She covered a wide range of event types like big name musicians, sports, community events, movie productions, even one time climbing into a hot air balloon to get a shot of it being filled.

I always enjoyed reading the articles she submitted. No matter the event type she was able to vividly describe the atmosphere and make readers feel like they were there.

More than anything she was a friend. Outside of discussing the direction of The Valley Ledger, some of the most treasured conversations were about life in general. She always had an ear to listen and thoughtful words of advice.

She had a beautiful soul and her spirit will live on in the photos she has captured, in the words she has written, and in the hearts she has touched.
