PSECU Awards $48,000 in Scholarships to High School Seniors for the 29th Consecutive Year



(June 17, 2025) PSECU, a leader in digital banking across Pennsylvania, today announced its 29th annual scholarship program winners. This year, the program is awarding six scholarships – valued up to $8,000 each for a total of

$48,000 – to graduating high school seniors in the states of Pennsylvania, and Virginia to reduce the financial burden of pursuing postsecondary education. Winners are selected based on academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and critical thinking and writing skills.

“Education has long been a cornerstone of PSECU’s community support, and this scholarship program reflects our lasting commitment to helping students build brighter futures,” said Karen Rousche, Community Engagement Program Manager at PSECU. “Since 1997, we’ve awarded more than $1.2 million to exceptional students, and we’re

proud to continue that legacy by supporting this year’s recipients as they take their next steps.”

From the more than 500 pplications PSECU received this year, the following winners were selected:

PSECU Scholarships:

  • Braeden Quinn, Pennsbury High School, Fairless Hills, PA
    • Attending Drexel University
  • Caleb Bower, Manheim Central High School, Manheim, PA
    • Attending University of Pittsburgh
  • Keira Lozada, Catholic High School, Virginia Beach, VA
    • Georgetown University

PSECU Frank J. Breiner Memorial Scholarship:

  • Isabella Feather, Susquehanna Township High School, Harrisburg, PA
    • Attending University of Pittsburgh

PSECU Michael A. Gottshall Memorial Scholarship:

  • Christian Smacher, Northern High School, Dillsburg PA
    • Attending University of Delaware

PSECU John J. Marisic Memorial Scholarship:

  • Sophia Nightingale, Penn Manor High School, Millersville, PA
    • Attending Carnegie Mellon University

If scholarship requirements are met, including maintaining a minimum GPA, the winners will receive a $2,000 scholarship every year over the next four years for a total scholarship value of $8,000 per student.
