United States Metal Powders Announces New Production Line at AMPAL to be celebrated in a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony presented by the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation

Carbon County, PA – The Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is excited to announce the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the New Production Line at AMPAL, Inc. in Palmerton on Tuesday, July 1.

AMPAL, Inc. (AMPAL), located at 2115 Little Gap Road, Palmerton, PA, is the largest producer of aluminum powder in North America and has announced a new production line that is ready to begin full production! The new line is being designed with capability for both nodular and spherical aluminum powder production.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place on Tuesday July 1 with a 1:30 ribbon cutting, followed by refreshments, networking and a facility tour.

United States Metal Powders, Inc. (USMP), founded in 1918, is a global leader in the production of aluminum powders with two production companies, AMPAL and Poudres Hermillon, SARL in La Tour-en-Maurienne, France. AMPAL moved its production facility from Flemington, NJ to its current location in 1982 and has been operating in Palmerton for the last 42 years. The company’s products are sold globally to a wide variety of end markets including Aerospace & Defense, Chemicals, Automotive, General Industrial, Consumer, Building & Construction, Defense, and Energy. “We are excited to invest in this new capacity in the USA” said Eric Degenfelder, President of USMP.
