Jefferson Health Earns 12 ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group

The fall 2025 safety grade is a national recognition for commitment to patient safety

PHILADELPHIA, NOVEMBER 13, 2025 – Jefferson Health earned 12 “A” Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to hospitals across the country using evidence-based measures of patient safety focused exclusively on errors, accidents, injuries and infections.

Those hospitals earning a fall 2025 “A” Hospital Safety Grade are Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital, Jefferson Washington Township Hospital, Jefferson Methodist Hospital, Jefferson Frankford Hospital, Jefferson Lansdale Hospital, Jefferson Abington Hospital, Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital, Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital, Lehigh Valley Hospital–Dickson City, Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hazleton, Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono and Lehigh Valley Hospital–Schuylkill.

Among the hospitals, Jefferson Washington Township Hospital earned an “A” grade for the seventh consecutive time, Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono earned an “A” for the fourth consecutive time, and Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital earned an “A” for the ninth consecutive time.

Earning “B” grades in fall 2025 are Jefferson Stratford HospitalThomas Jefferson University Hospital, Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hecktown Oaks and Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade stands as the only hospital ratings program focused solely on preventable medical errors, infections and injuries that kill more than 500 patients a day in the United States. This program is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
