February 3 – Middle School Report Cards Distributed

February 4 – Mr. Parkland Event, PHS Auditorium, 7 PM This annual tradition celebrates a lucky senior guy in good academic standing and who is a positive role model for students in a fun show-like atmosphere as the nominees compete for the crown.

February 4 – Kernsville Family Winter Carnival and Book Fair, 11 AM – 2 PM

February 4 – Spring Sport Physicals/ImPACT tests in PHS Cafeteria

Parkland’s FREE Spring Sports Physicals are being held on Saturday, February 4th at Parkland High School in the cafeteria. Boys are from 8 – 9:30 a.m. & Girls are from 9:30 – 11 a.m. ImPACT tests will be held in the high school library from 8 – 10:30 a.m., ending at 11 a.m. There are physical forms available in the Student Activities office.

February 4 – Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraiser for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Classrooms. Click here for the flyer.

February 6-10 – NATIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELORS WEEK

February 6 – Drug Prevention Assembly in the auditorium for 9th grade students. David Shallcross, PA Attorney General’s Office Acting Director of Education and Outreach, will recognize PHS students Maggie Gareca, Lynsey Reynard, Elizabeth Giordano, and Riley Allsop who were awarded 3rd place in all of PA as part of the Peer 2 Peer Prevention Video Contest. The students will view the video which you can see by clicking here.

February 7 – Schnecksville Elementary Crazy 8’s Math Club, 4-5 PM. A group of 15 first graders are staying after school to participate in a program called Crazy 8’s Math.

February 10 – HS/ELEM Report Cards Distributed

February 10 & 11 – District Band Concerts at PHS. Come out to enjoy some of the best high school musicians in our region. Click here for the flyer.

It’s time to register for Kindergarten!

All students who will be new to Parkland for Kindergarten or First Grade this fall should call their neighborhood elementary school now for an appointment. Not sure which school your child should attend? Just click on our handy school locator tool.

Order a Senior Class Yard Sign

Class of 2017 is selling yard signs to congratulate seniors. Signs will be printed

on both sides and come with the yard posts (see photo above of the sign graphic). They will be available in May 2017. You will be emailed when signs are ready to be picked up at the HS. Each sign is $22. Signs are vinyl, 24” x 18”, and come with yard posts. Checks should be

made payable to PHS Class of 2017. Forms can be submitted online at the following

address https://goo.gl/forms/76RHRQSyr2vdVwbg2. Checks can be mailed to the
