ALLENTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT FOUNDATION – Allentown School District Health Service is looking for RNs and/or LPNs to volunteer for their screening team.  All school districts in PA are mandated to perform screenings on their students from kindergarten to 12th grade every school year.  Screenings consist of height, weight, vision, hearing and scoliosis.  Call Dr. Kim Brannan, 484-765-4059, brannank@allentownsd.org.

 

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION/ AMERICAN STROKE ASSOCIATION, Allentown is looking for volunteers to help Feb 24, 5:00-10:00 PM for our Heart Ball, with registration, auction and check-out.  We will be providing dinner. CEDARBROOK NURSING HOME, Allentown – Volunteers are needed to transport wheelchair bound residents to and from in-house appointments and activities Tuesdays 1:00 – 3:30 PM. An excellent opportunity for exercise and at the same time a chance to chat with individual residents and make them feel special! NORTHEAST MINISTRY, Bethlehem is seeking volunteers to tutor students in grades 1-12 during their After School Homework Club.  The club meets Monday to Thursday from 3:30-5:30pm.  Tutors assist students with homework, reading, and school projects.  All tutors must complete and pass background clearances before beginning to volunteer.  Call Paula Johnson, 610-691-3355, johnsonp@northeastministry.com.

 

THE GRESS MOUNTAIN RANCH, Orefield, is an animal sanctuary for 70+ pets and farm animals rescued from abuse or neglect.  Volunteers are desperately needed to feed/water their ranch animals, perform environmental clean-up, and do ground maintenance including winterizing pens and wiringroof for turkey pens.  Animals need tending every day of the year.  Call Kathryn Gress, 610-398-2122, gressranch@gmail.com.

 

THE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE, Whitehall is actively looking for individuals (18+ years) and groups (4 people max) on Friday and Saturday afternoons to assist with the daily operations in the Donation Center, sales floors and working with the ReStore Staff.
