CEDARBROOK NURSING HOME, Fountain Hill and Allentown is looking for volunteers who enjoy cooking and baking to help residents make and bake some of their favorite recipes and share some stories while making these tasty treats. FEED THE CHILDREN, Bethlehem is looking for volunteers to join their “Weeknight Box Brigade.” Volunteers will pack boxes of food and personal care items which are then distributed across the Northeastern United States. The Weeknight Box Brigade takes place the second Thursday of every other month. The first Thursday will be February 8 from 5-8pm. LEHIGH VALLEY HEALTH NETWORK, Cedar Crest is looking for Fun and Compassionate people to volunteer in their beautiful Gift Shops at LVH-Cedar Crest. Must have great customer service skills and be available to volunteer for one four hour shift per week. ST. LUKE’S UNIVERSITY HEALTH NETWORK, Anderson, Bethlehem, Quakertown, and Miners Campuses are in need of Patient Advocates, Monday through Friday from 8am-12pm or 12-4pm. Spend time socializing with and providing comfort items to our patients and provide a lending hand to our staff by performing various supportive duties. SIXTH STREET SHELTER, Allentown needs volunteers to restock and refresh apartments on Saturdays from 10am – 2pm. As apartments are vacated, they must be cleaned and restocked for incoming residents. When families move out, they are allowed to take sheets, pillows, blanket, and other household items with them. Volunteers will then restock these items from the donation basement. THE SALVATION ARMY CHILDREN’S SERVICES, Allentown is seeking energetic individuals to join their Rock N’ Run 4 Kids Committee. Help organize the Annual Rock N’ Run 4 Kids held at Coca-Cola Park in May, 2018 which includes a 10K, 5K & Kids Fun Run, and many fun activities for families in support of kids in foster care.
