BETHLEHEM, PA – American Idol’s Crystal Bowersox, the music of Radiohead by Portland Cello Project and Musikfest favorites like Slingshot Dakota, The Nerds and Amish Outlaws are among the 14 new performances announced for the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. Tickets for the performances go on sale Tues., July 17, 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest Members and Fri., July 20, 10 a.m., to the public at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378.

On Dec. 14, 7:30 p.m., Bethlehem-based pop-punk duo Slingshot Dakota take the stage at the Fowler Blast Furnace Room. Before their first appearance at Musikfest in 2014, the husband-and-wife team of Slingshot Dakota were still relatively unknown outside of the Lehigh Valley after more than 10 years of tearing up the local rock scene. Now the duo has hit their stride with features in national publications including NPR, VICE and Brooklyn Vegan; and standout shows in Austin, Texas for SXSW in 2016 and 2017. Their energy, paired with poetic and catchy tunes, has made the band a Musikfest crowd favorite. Carly Comando shreds an 88-key digital piano and Tom Patterson keeps the beat while crushing his drums, producing a truly electrifying performance. Catch Slingshot Dakota as it plays with indie rock bands Petal and Small Mess. Tickets for the show are $10 in advance and $12 day of show.

Celebrate the holiday season with a beautifully acted one-man play as Jeremy Kendall presents This Wonderful Life in the Fowler Blast Furnace Room Dec. 16, 3 p.m. Based on the iconic 1946 holiday favorite film, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” the production brings to life over 32 familiar people in an amazing display of physical and verbal virtuosity. Kendall portrays the Jimmy Stewart-inspired George Bailey and the whole cast of lovable characters from Bedford Falls including Clarence the Angel, Mary, Zuzu and all the townsfolk who rely on him to save them from the greedy Mr. Potter. Like the film, the play centers around the character of George, a man who has given up his dreams to help others. Kendall’s 75-minute tour-de-force is at once inspiring, funny, poignant and most of all, uplifting. Tickets for this show are $15 advance, $17 day of show.

On March 21, 7:30 p.m., the Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling welcomes Portland Cello Project. Portland’s premier alt-classical group brings a huge orchestral ensemble, including brass, percussion and guest vocals by Patti King of the Portland band The Shins, to perform a night in homage to Radiohead’s historic album “OK Computer.” Expect an evening of unique renditions of classic Radiohead pieces that wander from truly epic to breathtakingly intimate. Performing music by everyone from Pantera and Taylor Swift to Kanye West and Elliott Smith, Portland Cello Project expertly blends modern tunes with its own classical twist and has collaborated with artists like The Dandy Warhols, Garrison Keillor, Ural Thomas, Corin Tucker, Jolie Holland and Peter Yarrow, among others. Tickets are $29-$35.
