HARRISBURG, Feb. 25 – State Rep. Robert Freeman is pleased to announce a $250,000 state planning grant was awarded today for a development project in Glendon Borough.
Freeman said the grant to Greystone Capital Inc. will complete a comprehensive real estate plan for developing a 54-acre site into a shovel-ready industrial campus located in Glendon Borough.
Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites Program funds will be used for design services including surveying, floodplain analysis, environmental assessment, geotechnical reporting, preliminary land development planning and permitting.
“The PA SITES Program – for which I was proud to vote to create and fund — was established to provide grant and loan funding to eligible applicants to develop competitive sites for businesses to relocate or expand within the commonwealth. It’s a valuable tool the state can use to promote economic development opportunities which in turn lead to good-paying jobs for Pennsylvanians,” said Freeman, D-Northampton.
The Glendon grant was one of seven statewide totaling $31 million announced today by the Shapiro administration through the Department of Community and Economic Development.
