To our valued community supporters,

At Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley, the health and safety of our families, volunteers, and staff are our top priority. We are closely monitoring updates from the CDC and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in regards to the COVID-19 corona-virus.

At this time, both our administrative office and our ReStore in Whitehall will continue to operate. However, we are taking the following steps in an abundance of caution:

Restore

  • We will be diligently cleaning and sanitizing surfaces in the Restore including doorknobs, shopping carts, desks and Restrooms and break rooms will be cleaned daily.
  • All Restore staff have been instructed to wash their hands frequently, and have been provided hand sanitizer for use while on the floor or at the cash register.
  • All staff and volunteers have been instructed to stay home if they feel unwell or experience cold or flu-like Managers have been instructed to send staff and volunteers home if they display any symptoms.
  • We are asking for the help and support of our customers by requesting that you stay home if you or someone you are caring for is experiencing cold or flu-like

Construction

  • All tools will be wiped with a disinfectant each day, and staff will be utilizing Lysol on the construction
  • Volunteers and staff should sanitize hands frequently, and should stay home if they feel unwell or experience cold or flu-like symptoms. Site supervisors have been instructed to send home any volunteers who display
  • Please remember that participation on site is voluntary; if you do not feel comfortable coming to the job site, please understand your right to stay

Administration and Programs

  • Our signature She Nailed It event is currently scheduled for May 4th, At this time, we plan to hold the event as scheduled. A contingency date has been set in place for July 20, 2020. Details will be communicated to participating teams as the May 4thdate approaches.
