One of our neighbors at the wastewater plant in Allentown had a rough morning. While attempting to evade smaller birds a young hawk injured its wing. Fortunate for him a Wildlife Rescue volunteer was able to quickly respond to the plant and transport the injured hawk to the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center where it will be treated and hopefully recover quickly. The wildlife center and the rescuer are volunteers. The program and its success are funded by donations. If interested in supporting them please visit http://www.poconowildlife.org.
