CATHOLIC CHARITIES DIOCESE OF ALLENTOWN – A Volunteer Ombudsman is a community neighbor specially trained to find answers and resolve simple problems older adults experience in the long-term care system. Catholic Charities is looking for volunteers who enjoy visiting with others and have 3-4 hours a month available. HOLIDAY HOPE CHESTS need volunteers to donate wrapped shoeboxes filled with age appropriate items for Lehigh Valley’s children in need. Suggested gift lists are provided on our website. This program, coordinated by the Volunteer Center, is a great project for large/small groups, clubs, classes, families, and individuals. To participate, go to www.volunteerlv.org/holiday-hope-chests and fill out a 2020 Donor Pledge Form. Opportunity to collect and wrap empty shoeboxes, too!

 

LEHIGH VALLEY SCORE needs Volunteer Mentors to coach Entrepreneurs at no charge for our local chapter in the nation-wide SCORE organization. NATIONAL CANAL MUSEUM, Easton is looking for eight volunteers to assist with set-up, crafts, and trick-or-treat stations. Help us host a spook-tacular day for little ones and families alike, full of treats and crafts! The Volunteers should come in costume (costumes available for borrow) and interact with kiddos as they work through Halloween themed activities in Hugh Moore Park. NEW BETHANY MINISTRIES @ Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem is looking for volunteers to pack sand and votive candles for our Luminaria Night event! We receive 60 tons of sand and 10,000 votive candles, all to be hand packed into individual household kits of 10 candles each. All CDC regulations will be followed (wear a mask, stay distanced on-site). Minimum age 16, unless accompanied by an adult. PROJECT OF EASTON needs volunteers in our Early Childhood Center, Mondays through Thursdays to be teacher’s aides. It would be for 2 – 2.5 hours per day between 9AM and noon. Preferably a commitment of 2-4 days per week. Volunteers would provide general help to our teachers and would be required to have ECE clearances in place before starting. SHARECARE FAITH IN ACTION, Bethlehem needs many volunteers to help with taking non-Covid-19 clients to their vital appointments. All volunteers will have to attend on-line orientation, provide criminal background check and proof of insurance.
