Lehigh Valley Public Media’s Community Update on Coronavirus to Begin Again This Week

As COVID-19 cases surge in the Lehigh Valley, and a vaccine is on the horizon, join the PBS39 and 91.3 WLVR News teams for local and regional coronavirus updates

Bethlehem, Pa. – December 14 – On December 16, Lehigh Valley Public Media will begin airing new episodes of Community Update on Coronavirus. The program will air live on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on PBS39 at 4 p.m. and on 91.3 WLVR News at 9: 30 p.m. Emmy Award-winning reporter Brittany Sweeney will be back as the show’s host.

“As we continue to see cases rise across the state and in our area and a need has arisen to help explain things like the vaccine and other solution strategies, we knew this was a crucial program to bring back to the community,” Yoni Greenbaum, Chief Content Officer of Lehigh Valley Public Media, said.

The first guest to appear on Community Update on Coronavirus is a well known infectious disease specialist and chair of the Department of Medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network, Dr. Timothy Friel. Additionally, Angela DelGrosso, Senior Vice President of The Bethlehem Chamber at the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce will be joining the conversation alongside Dr. Friel and Sweeney.

Community Update on Coronavirus will air live on PBS39, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4 p.m. You can also hear a radio rebroadcast of the program on 91.3 WLVR News Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:30 p.m.
