JOSE M. SANCHEZ APPOINTED AS SUPERVISOR OF ENGLISH LEARNER SERVICE

The Bethlehem Area School District is excited to announce the appointment of Jose M. Sanchez as the Supervisor of English Learner Services.

Mr. Sanchez served as the Assistant Principal of Broughal Middle School for the past year. He came to BASD in 2013 teaching 4th and 5th grade ESOL at Donegan Elementary School. Other roles in BASD included Dean of Students and Assistant Principal both at Fountain Hill Elementary.

Mr. Sanchez received Master Degrees from Lehigh University and from DeSales University. He also received his Bachelor’s Degree from DeSales University and attended Northampton Community College. Mr. Sanchez is Built by Bethlehem and a graduate of Liberty High School.

Mr. Sanchez takes over for Carole Schachter who recently retired.

We welcome Mr. Sanchez in his new position in the Bethlehem Area School District.

The English Learner Services Department is a nurturing and challenging environment where diversity is celebrated and students experience academic success while acquiring English in order to become more capable and productive of society. The department also facilities communication between home and school.
