Grand Opening for Veteran’s Drop-In Program

Lamont McClure, the Division of Drug and Alcohol and Veteran Affairs will hold a Grand Opening at 10AM on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Palmer Recovery Center at 2906 William Penn Hwy. Suite 101 in Easton, PA to announce Northampton County’s first Drop-In Program for veterans. This collaborative programming between Drug & Alcohol, Veteran Affairs, Battle Borne and Northbound will be held every Friday from 9AM-4PM to assist veterans in their pursuit of their overall wellness and provide them with access to services.
Services available for veterans on Fridays at the Palmer Recovery Center will include peer support groups, professional support groups/MST, assistance with job searches and writing resumes, legal clinics, trainings, VA benefit assistance, on-site Drug & Alcohol assessments and referrals to treatment. A Certified Recovery Specialist will also be available on-site.
Northampton County residents struggling with substance abuse can call the Drug and Alcohol Division at 610-829-HELP(4357). Veterans can also call Veteran Affairs at 610-829-4875.
