(ALLENTOWN, PA) – During the COVID-19 shutdown last summer, Anish Pallod, a three-time Pennsylvania state chess champion, held an online chess camp to benefit the Allentown Rescue Mission. With the success of last year’s camp, Anish has decided to run the camp for a second consecutive summer.

The virtual camp will take place Monday, July 19, 2021, through Friday, July 23, 2021, and is open to students in grades 2-9. Anish will teach two sessions per day, beginner and intermediate. The goal of the online camp is to teach kids the fundamentals of chess while having fun and supporting the local community. One-hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the Allentown Rescue Mission and the Cetronia Ambulance Corps.
