THE SALVATION ARMY, Allentown needs volunteers to pack bags with school supplies 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the week of August 9 – 12. Packing will be done in a large gymnasium with all safety protocols in place. Volunteers also needed 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on August 19 at the giveaway event for set up, crowd guidance, overseeing activities and games, vendor support, snacks, and refreshments. WILDLANDS CONSERVANCY, Emmaus is developing a dedicated volunteer group to help with the regular upkeep of Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary located in Emmaus. Projects will include landscape bed maintenance, mulching/chip spreading, litter clean-up, trail maintenance, and invasive species management, along with opportunities to assist with small-to-medium maintenance activities like painting, boardwalk repairs, and other light construction.
