The Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce, a proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled to host Bikes & Brews: Pedal for a Purpose on Thursday, September 9th from 5:15 PM – 7:30 PM!

Whether it’s 4 miles with Mayor David Heintzelman or 15 miles with Steve LaBrake, Owner of Saucon Valley Bikes, join us as we pedal for a purpose on the picturesque Saucon Rail Trail to raise money for the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber’s Scholarship Fund! Not only will this initiative benefit a worthy cause, but it also showcases several local businesses.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for kids. They include a free beer (for those over the age of 21) from Lost Tavern Brewing, a free kids size Italian Ice from the Rita’s Italian Ice of Hellertown, snacks, and a free bike safety check from Saucon Valley Bikes. Tickets will go directly to supporting our future business and community leaders of the Saucon Valley School District. This event is rain or shine and helmets are required. The 15 mile bike ride will start at 5:30 PM and the 4 mile bike ride will start at 6 PM so attendees are asked to plan accordingly based on the ride they choose to attend.

“When the pandemic forced this event to be cancelled in 2020, the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber missed the opportunity to gather and hit the trails with one another,” said Jessica O’Donnell, Executive Vice President of Affiliated Chambers and Northern Tier for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to be back in action with our members and to bring the community together to support our future business and community leaders of the Saucon Valley School District, all while highlighting some of our favorite local establishments! It’s a great night to bring your family, friends, and coworkers out to the trails – we’re ready to ride!”

Kim Rosario, Chair of the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber’s Board, commented, “Grab your bike and your helmet! We are looking forward to a great evening on September 9th as we “Pedal for a Purpose” and partner with our community as we raise money for the Hellertown-Lower

Saucon Chamber’s Scholarship Fund. This will be a great evening to ride the Rail Trail with other community members. We hope you come out and support Bikes and Brews!”

Steve LaBrake, Owner of Saucon Valley Bikes, said, “The team at Saucon Valley Bikes is so excited to be a part of this event! Not only is it supporting a great cause, but it’s also showcasing the beautiful Saucon Rail Trail. Whether you’re biking four miles with Mayor Heintzelman or the full fifteen with me, it’s going to be a fun ride. We hope to see you there!”
