Christkindlmarkt is once again in the running to be named one of the country’s best holiday markets.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – ArtsQuest is proud to announce Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem presented by Univest Financial®, is once again nominated for USA TODAY’s 2021 Readers’ Choice Award in the Best Holiday Market category.

A panel of experts and 10Best editors have chosen Christkindlmarkt as one of 20 nominees for this year’s contest. Returning for its 29th year at the SteelStacks campus in the City of Bethlehem, Christkindlmarkt is known for its unique in-person holiday shopping experience. The 2021 seasonal festival will feature 167 unique regional and local craft and retail vendors, eight food vendors and 66 live performances, Germany’s Käthe Wohlfahrt, handmade ornaments, and collectibles and of course jolly Old St. Nicholas, throughout the five-weekend festival.

“We are proud to play a role in the rich history of the Christmas City and are thrilled to once again be in the running for this national contest,” Kassie Hilgert, President and CEO of ArtsQuest said. “A visit to Chriskindlmarkt is a tradition for families in the Lehigh Valley and visitors from across the world. This recognition will help bring even more attention to our area and help boost business throughout the entire region.”

Voting will open for four weeks via 10Best.com website on Monday, November 8 at noon EST until Monday, Dec. 6 at 11:59 a.m. EST.

The market will run Fri. – Sun. the first two weeks (Nov. 19 – 21, 26-28) and then Thurs. – Sun. the last three weeks (Dec. 2-5, 9-12 and 16-19). Hours of operation will be 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Thurs. and Sun. and 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Fri. and Sat. A complete list of vendors and ticket information can be found ChristmasCity.org.
