HOLIDAY HOPE CHESTS needs volunteers to donate wrapped shoeboxes filled with age-appropriate items for Lehigh Valley’s children in need. Suggested gift lists are provided on our website. This program, coordinated by the Volunteer Center, is a great project for large/small groups, clubs, classes, families, and individuals. AMERICAN RED CROSS PA RIVERS CHAPTER, Allentown needs Disaster Health Services Volunteers to provide health-related services and secure resources to meet the health needs of people affected by disaster and of the workforce providing disaster relief. The two shifts available are from 10am-1pm on Saturdays, or from 7:30-11:00 a.m. on Mondays. This does require a 1.5-hour orientation and (free) PA state clearances. No community service hours. MORAVIAN HISTORICAL MUSEUM, Nazareth is looking for Curatorial Interns that will work directly with our Curator of Collections to help catalogue and inventory our collection and may include researching upcoming exhibitions and or writing exhibit panels and labels. Interns who have an interest in public history and prior research experience will be trained to use the PastPerfect collection management software.
