Gracedale has reinstated the Temporary Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) program. Participants may take an eight-hour course, earn a temporary CNA certificate and begin paid employment at Gracedale.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) offers an eight-hour online course for temporary certification for CNAs or Certified Nursing Aides. A standard CNA class takes four weeks, but the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services began allowing the on-line version in 2020 to help with staffing during the pandemic.

“We’ve seen these temporary CNAs convert to part-time and full-time positions at Gracedale,” says Jennifer Stewart-King. “If anyone would like to join our team we urge them to consider this opportunity.”
