Valley Youth House Invites York Community to Give Local York Campaign Kickoff Event



YORK COUNTY, PA (3/10/22) – Valley Youth House is hosting a kickoff event to launch their Give Local York 2022 campaign, #WhyYouthMatter. The event will take place on Friday, March 25th at 8:00 AM at the Valley Youth House’s office, located at 337 W. Market Street in York, PA.

Each year, Valley Youth House empowers over 500 young people in York County (ages 14-24) to overcome adversities, such as homelessness and successfully transition to adulthood. In 2021, Valley Youth House’s Life Skills Counselors, who work one-on-one with youth as mentors, devoted over 11,000 direct service hours to youth skills development. Valley Youth House also assists 25% of all young homeless people in York locate temporary and permanent residence.

In 2022, Valley Youth House is celebrating its 5th anniversary of being a trusted organization in York County that youth and families can depend on. To mark its fifth year in York — and to kickoff the start of Give Local York 2022 — Valley Youth House is inviting York County residents and stakeholders to their campaign kickoff event on March 25th to celebrate five years of service and look ahead to many more.

Parking will be available in the parking lot next to Valley Youth House and on the street. The event will include refreshments, raffle prizes, and a presentation from Valley Youth House’s York Programs Director, Amanda Harden, during which Harden will discuss the organization’s programming and impact in York.
