The Southern Lehigh Chamber & Coopersburg Fire Department are thrilled to bring back the annual tree lighting with more bells and whistles than ever! This event is a partnership between the Coopersburg Fire Company 1 and the Southern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds benefit the fire company’s life-saving equipment and the Chamber’s local initiatives to support businesses and community organizations in the greater Coopersburg area.

On Saturday November 26, 2022, come to East State Street between the Fire Company (13 S Main St) and Borough Hall (5 N Main St) from 6-8pm for an evening of family-fun. The event itself is free to attend. There will be an ice sculptor on-site thanks to Hometown Pet Center who is sponsoring this fun aspect of the event. There will be hayrides by Hausman’s Fruit Farms for a small fee of $5 for adults, $3 for kids and 3 and under ride free. A few craft vendors will be on site as well as local businesses handing out toys, craft kits, and facilitating kids’ activities.

Have you started making your gingerbread house? We will be hosting a gingerbread house decorating contest! Participants will make their gingerbread house in advance and bring it to the tree lighting event where guests can vote on their most favorite and festive house! The winner will be announced at 7:45pm the night of the event!

A DJ will be on-site playing our favorite holiday tunes. The Coopersburg Fire Company 1 will be selling food for attendees. We are excited to announce there will be special performances from the Girl Scouts at 7:30pm!

Do you hear sleigh bells?! That right Santa is coming to Coopersburg! Lerch Photo will be taking pictures of kids with Santa Claus from 6:15-7:45pm in borough hall. There will also be cupcakes for sale for $2 towards the Southern Lehigh Chamber’s Scholarship Fund that will go to Southern Lehigh School District students pursuing further education upon high school graduation.

At 7:45pm the Chamber and Fire Department will begin their program thanking sponsors and supporters.

At 8pm Coopersburg Mayor Hovis will lead the audience in the tree lighting countdown!

Executive Vice President of Affiliated Chambers Jessica O’Donnell shares “We look forward to the holiday season every year. Our Coopersburg Tree Lighting Ceremony is one to remember! It’s so meaningful to bring our community together during this holiday season to celebrate but also raise money to support the volunteer firefighters and bring awareness to our business community.”

Proceeds from this event go towards the Coopersburg Fire Department 1 and other local initiatives.
