The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is gearing up for a memorable 2022 holiday season!

The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is proud to present the 2nd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in North Whitehall Township on December 13, 2022 from 5-7 PM. The rain date was announced on December 9th when snow and rain predictions present the potential for dangerous conditions for the region on Sunday evening.

The event will still present all the good things planned for the weekend’s festivities; taking place at the North Whitehall Township Building (3256 Levans Road, Coplay), the event will be free and open to the public and feature various festive holiday activities, as well as hot chocolate and hotdogs from the Upper Lehigh Lions Club and food for purchase from Why Not Burgerz! Parkland Library will host a holiday story hour and craft activities, and a stilt-walking elf and jugglers will entertain the crowd! S’mores and burn barrels will be provided at no cost to keep those in attendance warm.

A small vendor market will be in place for last minute holiday shopping, and The Grinch will make an appearance, as well as Santa Claus himself (arriving at 6:30 PM to light the tree).

“While moving the date of our tree lighting may impact our calendars, we’re confident that we’ll be spreading the cheer with a beautiful evening for our community in North Whitehall Township,” said Kylie Adams-Weiss, Assistant Vice President of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “We have some surprises in store and are working quickly to ensure that our new date will hold just as much magic as Sunday would have.”

In addition to the Tree Lighting festivities, the event will also still host a food drive that will benefit the Parkland CARES Food Pantry. “The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber is tied to the grassroots of our region and look to support those who are in need at every turn,” said Jessica O’Donnell-Gower, Executive Vice President of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “The holidays always remind us to give back, and we’re hoping to collect canned goods and nonperishables to ensure we’re helping those in need.”

Opportunities to take pictures with Santa will be available for those in attendance once the tree is lit.
