Mackenzie Sworn into Office as New House Session Begins

HARRISBURG – Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh) today was administered the oath of office, along with 199 other members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, during a ceremony at the state Capitol.

Now in his seventh term, Mackenzie serves residents of the 187th Legislative District in Lehigh County, which was redrawn during last year’s redistricting process. He had previously represented the 134th Legislative District, which included parts of Berks and Lehigh counties.

“I am humbled residents of the 187th District have chosen me to represent them in Harrisburg and am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference,” said Mackenzie. “I look forward to getting to work on policies that improve their lives and the lives of all Pennsylvanians.”

During the 2023-24 legislative session, Mackenzie plans to remain focused on creating jobs, protecting taxpayers, strengthening education, and reforming government.

Mackenzie maintains a full-time district office located at the Lower Macungie Township Municipal Complex, 3402 Brookside Road in Macungie (610-965-9933 or 833-933-3675 toll- free). He also provides satellite office hours every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Heidelberg Township Municipal Building, 6272 Route 309, Suite A, in New Tripoli. “My staff and I are here to serve our community and we work hard to help district residents with any state-related matters they encounter, which includes assistance with PennDOT paperwork, Property Tax/Rent Rebate applications, free notary services for state documents, and much more,” Mackenzie added. “Residents can also call or email me directly with their issues or concerns (RMackenzie@pahousegop.com) and I will do my best to address them.”

The 187th Legislative District includes the townships of Heidelberg, Lower Macungie, Lynn, Upper Macungie (Districts 03, 07, and 08), Washington, and Weisenberg; and the boroughs of Alburtis and Macungie in Lehigh County.
