Lamont McClure announces that the Division of Area Agency on Aging will host a Dementia Support Group at the Dept. of Human Services building at 2801 Emrick Blvd. Bethlehem, PA on the third Thursday of each month from 5:30PM – 6:30PM.

This programing is specifically designed for families and caregivers of dementia patients. Participants will receive practical caregiving information, get mutual support, learn about local community resources and find solutions to challenging behaviors.

“Being a caregiver to a loved one with dementia can be incredibly stressful,” says Lamont McClure. “It’s important that we make resources and support available so caregivers can maintain their own mental and physical health as they care for someone else.”

Anyone interested in attending and would like more information can contact Ann Stager at 610-829-4540 or astager@northamptoncounty.org

In the event of inclement weather, please check the Northampton County Facebook page or call 610-829-4540 to see if the group is cancelled.
