EASTON, Pa. – Jan. 5, 2023 — Easton Farmers’ Market will kick off its 11th annual Winter Market (https://eastonfarmersmarket.com/winter-market-2023/) on January 14 from 10 a.m. to noon and continue every Saturday through April 29 offering a variety of local produce, dairy items, baked goods, meats, beverages and much more from a record 17 different vendors.

This year the Winter Market will find a home in the 300 block of Northampton Street, directly across from the Easton Public Market.

“Hosting the Winter Market outside of the front doors of the Easton Public Market will give shoppers ready access to even more variety and local options,” said Megan McBride, manager of the Easton Market District. “It’s an ideal opportunity for shoppers to meet a majority of their weekly food needs with one convenient stop – outside at the Winter Market and inside at the Easton Public Market — with quality and local flavor that no supermarket can match.

“And with the imminent opening of the Fourth Street parking garage in February, access to both the Easton Public Market and Saturday Winter Market will be easier than ever.”

Easton Farmers’ Market, presented by Capital Blue, is a program of the nonprofit Greater Easton Development Partnership (GEDP).

The 2023 Winter Market vendors are:

  • Apple Ridge Farm – sourdough bread, baked goods, pot pies, pastured pork, bone broth, winter soups and more

Winter Market will again offer a Winter Warrior rewards program. Shoppers can check in at the InfoTent each week and earn a gift for every six consecutive weeks attended. “We want to recognize and thank our hardy shoppers who don’t let winter weather cool their passion for fresh local food,” said McBride.

Winter Market vendors, as well as the Highmark Farmstand inside Easton Public Market, welcomes Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) users. Thanks to a USDA grant distributed to Buy Fresh Buy Local of the Greater Lehigh Valley, the Winter Market is able to offer a fresh food match (up to $10 per day) to stretch the dollars available for fresh fruits and vegetables. SNAP users should stop by the Info Tent to get their tickets prior to shopping the market.
