Valley Youth House raises more than $340,000 and celebrates 50th anniversary at Setting the Stage event

BETHLEHEM, PA (2/15/2023) – Valley Youth House is pleased to announce that they have raised more than $340,000 and celebrated 50 years of serving youth and families at their annual Setting the Stage fundraising event.

The event began with a reception and awards ceremony, recognizing Laurie Hackett, Director of Community Relations, Air Products, as their Distinguished Honoree for her enthusiastic engagement as a volunteer and board member with many Lehigh Valley-based nonprofits.

Setting the Stage event chairs were also recognized for their leadership of this event:

Easton Area High School senior Irvingka was also welcomed to the stage as the evening’s Youth Speaker, to share her inspiring story of overcoming adversity with the help of Valley Youth House’s programs and services.

“It was an incredible evening celebrating 50 years of serving youth and families in our community and raising significant funds for those most in need,” said Christina J. Schoemaker, Senior Vice President, Development, Grants & Marketing at Valley Youth House. “We would like to extend a special thanks to our dedicated Honoree, Chairs and Executive Committee for their commitment to our agency and our community,” she added.

Following the reception, attendees then attended the Journey “Freedom Tour” concert with special guest Toto at the PPL Center.

Setting the Stage is Valley Youth House’s premier fundraising event which celebrates the positive impact that those involved have on the lives of vulnerable individuals in the community. All proceeds from the event will benefit the life-changing programs and services provided to youth and families served by Valley Youth House.
