Carbon County – March 1, 2023 – The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corp. (CCEDC), in partnership with the Manufacturers Resource Center is pleased to announce the 10th Annual What’s So Cool About Manufacturing video contest!
Each year students from middle schools in the Lehigh Valley and Carbon County visit local manufacturers and interview owners and employees on the topic of what is so cool about manufacturing. The videos are meant to educate students and parents about careers in the manufacturing sectors.
This year’s contest includes all 5 school districts from Carbon County. Teams from L.B. Morris School, Lehighton Area Middle School, Palmerton Area Jr. High School, Panther Valley Jr./Sr. High School, Penn-Kidder Campus and Weatherly Area Middle School visited various manufacturers in Carbon County and produced videos showcasing what these companies produce. Companies that are featured are: Fronti Fabrications in Little Gap, TPEI in Mahoning Township, Ampal in Little Gap, B.T.M. Incorporated in Jim Thorpe, Architectural Polymers in Little Gap and Hydra Tech Pumps in Nesquehoning.

The awards ceremony will be held at Arts Quest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem on March 14th 2023. Representatives from the companies will be attending along with the respective schools.
