Winners to be Honored Nov. 9 at SteelStacks

BETHLEHEM, PA, April 4, 2023—The ArtsQuest Foundation invites the public to submit nominations for the 5th annual Linny Awards, the multi-discipline arts awards that celebrate the extraordinary contributions made by the region’s artists, educators, businesses, volunteers and philanthropists. Now through May 12, nominations are being accepted for visual and performing artists, as well as emerging artists and arts educators who have made significant contributions to the arts through their work.

“Honoring area artists, philanthropists, educators and volunteers who help create a better community is fundamental when celebrating the legacy of Linny Fowler,” commented Selena Lavonier, Executive Director, ArtsQuest Foundation. “Linny’s impact on ArtsQuest, the ArtsQuest Foundation and the Lehigh Valley arts community will be palpable for generations to come.”

The 2023 Linny Award categories open for submissions include:

About the Linny Awards
Named after the late Marlene ‘Linny’ Fowler, a stained-glass artist and community leader who supported artists and arts organizations throughout the Lehigh Valley for more than a quarter century, the Linny Awards are designed to recognize and celebrate the region’s flourishing arts community.
Proceeds from the Linny Awards go to support the Foundation, which Fowler helped found in 2003. The Foundation is focused on supporting and strengthening the long-term sustainability of ArtsQuest, the nonprofit that presents Musikfest and 4,000 other programs, events and educational classes annually for the region, of which over 50% are free to attend.
