Neffs, Pa- The Neffs National Bank, is proud to present $100,000 in donations to six local educational foundations. These donations will help fund essential educational programs to benefit the youth of our local community. The selected foundations include Lehigh Carbon Community College Foundation, Inc., Northern Lehigh School District Education Foundation, Northwestern Lehigh Educational Foundation, Inc., Parkland School District Education Foundation, Wildlands Conservancy, Inc., and Wildlife Information Center, Inc.

Donations were made through The Neffs National Bank’s participation in the state’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. This program authorizes tax credits for contributions to Educational Improvement Organizations and allows the bank to earmark their taxes to support these programs.

Since the bank began their participation in the EITC program, they have contributed over $1,000,000 to various educational foundations. Kevin Schmidt, President/CEO The Neffs National Bank noted “these organizations are continuing to face uncertain times with increased budget constraints and the need to reengineer their education programs. I would encourage local businesses to support these organizations either directly or through participation in the EITC program. This year is also special as we are celebration our 100th anniversary and are able to continue our participation with a $100,000 donation”.
