Allentown, PA– May 12, 2023 – Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley (BBBSLV) is pleased to announce the annual Big Stories program, a celebration of mentoring and friendship, to be held on Wednesday, May 17th at ArtsQuest from 6-7:30 p.m. in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Lehigh Valley’s preeminent one-to-one youth mentoring organization will honor (Bigs), donors, students and companies making an impact on the lives of children in the community. Charlise Johnson, a student volunteer and scholarship recipient from the High School Bigs program has been selected to participate in the Commence with Confidence Shopping Spree sponsored by EXPRESS, an initiative designed to prepare youth for life after high school and college.
“Big Stories is an evening of celebration and appreciation of our Bigs, donors and corporate partners, who help Lehigh Valley’s children achieve success in life,” says Susan Bartels, CEO of BBBSLV. “These individuals invest their time and efforts to make a lasting impression on a child that needs their support and friendship. Likewise, our corporate partners donate money and other resources so that our organization can continue to prepare our youth for a future they can believe in.”
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lehigh Valley provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. For over 50 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters Lehigh Valley has partnered with parents/guardians, schools, corporations, and others in the Lehigh Valley to pair children (Littles) with qualified, trained volunteers (Bigs), and monitor these one-to-one relationships throughout their journey.
