Help build a youth’s potential by mentoring through sports. Mentors meet once a month for 9 months with their mentee. All activities are organized and facilitated by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley. There is no cost to participate. Colonial Foodways volunteers engage visitors with the history of Burnside Plantation through live cooking demonstrations in the summer kitchen. Volunteers will demonstrate open hearth cooking practices and recreate 18th and early 19th century recipes in period attire and answer visitor questions about early cooking and life on a colonial-era farm.
